Use Dropdown when users should choose one value from a fixed list.
Dropdown stores one selected value from a list. It is the best choice when you need consistent reporting and filtering.

Configure
Dropdown supports option sources.

Application fields support manual options and dataset options.
Validation
Dropdown does not have additional validation rules. The option list controls the allowed values.
