Field Group
Use Field Group when several custom subfields should be stored together.
Field Group is a field type. It is different from the normal field groups used to organize fields on the Field Management page.
A normal field group organizes separate fields. The Field Group type stores several subfields together as one field.

Configure
Field Group can use a template or custom subfields.

| Template | Use a prebuilt group when it matches the workflow. |
| Custom Subfields | Build a custom group with subfields such as Text, Number, Date, Dropdown, Email, Phone, URL, Text Area, and Currency. |
After a Field Group is in use, treat existing subfield keys and types as stable. Change labels and help text when needed, but avoid changing the structure after data is collected.
Validation
Each custom subfield can have validation rules based on its type. Unique Value is not used for subfields.
